That said, youth from Magumoni Ward had the privilege of showcasing their talent in the much hyped Magumoni Got Talent show held yesterday at Kibugua grounds, courtesy of the area MCA Justin Kithinji.
The highlight of the day would be a performance by popular Kenyan gengetone group Ethic, who electrified the audience with their popular hits such as Dondoka, Bazenga, Staga Niki Medi and Daktari.
The event brought youth around the ward with entries in Modelling, acting, dance, singing and acting among other acts.
MCA Kithinji on his speech thanked the youth for making time to showcase and attend the event saying he would continue supporting the youth with similar events to ensure talents in the area are nurtured.
"Talent is a form of employment. The entertainment industry is taking shape on the country and by nurturing our very own talent, we are opening up opportunities for them in future" - Justin Kithinji.
According to Kithinji, area Member of Parliament Patrick Munene, promised to build a recording studio in the constituency to facilitate production.
County Government Chief of Staff Wilson Murithi on behalf of the government asked the youth to register groups and benefit from the county empowerment programs in the future.
The MCA acknowledged that a Talent Centre was something the government was looking forward to complete.
Kithinji thanked parents and guardians who have been supporting talent and said it went a long way to help in its development.
Antony Mutwiri, a participant in the dance category with Snapperz Dance Crew thanked the organisers of the event and asked other leaders to emulate MCA Kithinji and help grow talent in the county.
