Maara Sub County on Friday played host to political and government leaders from around the county, during the official launch of Chuka University Chogoria Campus at the institution grounds.
Chogoria campus joins the list of vast branches Chuka University has managed to open over the years, in an effort to transform and develop the region through education.

Political leaders took the opportunity to openly declare their support for Chuka University VC Professor Njoka, with the majority openly endorsing him for the gubernatorial position in the 2022 general elections.
Maara MP Kareke Mbiuki in his speech congratulated Njoka for his success, and noted that his transformation was evident and that he had convinced the people he is the right man for the job in 2022.
“I will continue to work with Njoka and support him. He has been able to convince the people and because they are good people, they will see what you have done for them and reward you”, he said.
Former Governor Samwel Mbae Ragwa acknowledged that the county lacked skilled labor, an important pillar of production which through the university opening up more branches would achieve.
He went on to thank Professor Njoka for making Maara recognized through the campus.
Elders of Njuri Ncheke, through their representatives took to the podium to hit at critics who were against their support for Njoka, saying they have been supporting him even before his political ambitions.

Nturiri Boys High School is set for relocation, with plans and construction of the new school premises underway as MP Kareke Mbiuki boosted the process with 11 million shillings, and addition to the 7 million his office had donated before.
“There’s no greater institution than a university. This campus will bring change and transform the area. It will be instrumental in solving societal problems and enlighten the people” – Professor Njoka.
