Tharaka Nithi Governor H.E Muthomi Njuki has hit out at UDA Party Primaries losers for blaming him for their loss saying they should accept defeat and that the people voted for their preferred candidates of choice.
Speaking at Rukindu where he supplied water pipes to members of Rukindu Water Project said any elections ought to have winners and losers and that UDA was set to kickstart its campaigns with a clearly defined line up ahead of the general elections scheduled for August.
Governor Njuki, in a bid to cement his gubernatorial campaign for re-election and popularize UDA affirmed that the state had no authority to propose and demand support for any candidate in the August polls, saying the interest of a few individuals was greater than that of a nation.
Njuki maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta had shortchanged Mt Kenya Region, especially Tharaka Nithi County, with projects only being undertaken in other parts of the country.
"This time, we have sat with William Ruto, set our bare minimums and discussed a Memorandum Of Understanding that is set to be signed by local leaders across the county to ensure our stake in development and projects once we form government" - H.E Governor Muthomi Njuki
