Muthambi Ward in Maara Constituency will be among 15 Electoral Areas scheduled for repeat nominations on Friday 22April, 2022.
In a Public Notice released by UDA on 19th April, the National Elections Board received orders to repeat nominations following hearings an determinations on cases lodged by some of the aspirants who participated in the 14th April nominations.
According to Muthambi Ward results, incumbent MCA Derebia Muisrael Nyagah garnered 2,908 votes, defeating Gitonga Morris Maugu who garnered 1,920 votes, prompting Mr Maugu to file a dispute with the UDA Electoral & Nomination Dispute Resolution Committee.
UDA had received over 115 disputes, 94 of which were drawn from aspiring MCA's. In addition, 15 cases for Member of National Assembly seats were filled.
The 9 member committee has urged those dissatisfied with the outcome to take necessary lawful action through the appellate processes established by law.
Other Electoral Areas scheduled for repeat elections include Laikipia County Woman Representative, Kayole North Ward, Syokimau Ward, Kariobangi North, Kijabe Ward, Mbeti South Ward and Menengai Ward.
