Tharaka Nithi Huduma Centre is not among the 18 select Huduma Centres selected for the extension of working hours.
The extension that commenced today, 05 December 2022, will see the select Huduma Centres operate from 7Am to 7Pm from the previous 8Am to 5Pm.
On 31st October 2022, The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action Hon. Aisha Jumwa committed to undertake six interventions to advance Public Service Delivery and transformation through Huduma Kenya, with one of the promises being the extension of working hours in select Huduma Centres.
The centres picked for extensions include Nairobi GPO, City Square, Makadara, Kibra, Eastleigh, Kiambu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Embu, Meru, Laikipia, Kisii, Kitale, Kericho, Kakamega, Kisumu and Mombasa.
In a statement released today, 05 December 2022, specific desks operational during the extension include Police Abstracts, Duplicate national identity cards, Birth and death certificates, Certificates of good conduct, NHIF, KRA, NSSF, HELB, NTSA, and all Online Government Services through the Huduma Cyber Café.
The Huduma Contact Centre has also extended its operational hours to operate from 7Am to 9Pm, to assist citizens via call on enquiries, booking of appointments and general Public Service Information.
