Addressing a press briefing at Chuka Police Station following the arrest, Meru South OCPD Eunia Onyancha asked members of the public with any information that would lead to the arrest of the other syndicate members to come forward and urged them to embrace Nyumba Kumi to enhance security in their areas.

According to Onyancha, some of the items recovered have already been identified as they had already been reported to them.

“We have been receiving reports of theft, house breakings and burglaries where we launched investigations and patrols. Through our intelligence unit and support from members of the public, we have been able to arrest two suspects who have led us to their hideouts. We are following our leads and you can expect more suspects to be arrested” – Eunia Onyancha, OCPD Meru South

Ndagani and Chuka have been named as robbery hotspots, even as the police beef up security around the county to ensure robbery and theft suspects are nabbed.
