JUBILEE LEADERS TAKE CREDIT FOR CREATION OF NEW SUB-COUNTY.

Jubilee Party political leaders in Tharaka-Nithi County have taken credit for the split of Chuka Sub-county to create Chuka North and Chuka South Sub-counties.

The leaders, drawn from different parts of the county attributed the creation of the new Sub-county to intense lobbying, thanking President Uhuru Kenyatta for the gesture.

Addressing residents at a campaign rally in Mugwe, MCA Denis Mutwiri who is seeking re-election on a Jubilee ticket said that the split would allow the creation of more administrative units creating more job opportunities for the two Sub-counties.

"The creation of Chuka North and South Sub-counties would not be possible were it not for efforts by Jubilee aspirants in the county. This new creation will benefit our people through creating new administrative units, increase job opportunities and bring services closer to them" - MCA Denis Mutwiri

Gubernatorial aspirant Prof. Erastus Njoka through his Facebook account stated Tharaka Nithi residents had yet another reason to smile, with President Uhuru Kenyatta granting the wish to have Chuka Sub-county split just three months after the creation of 3 other new Sub-counties.

"This is coming barely three months after Chiakariga, Muthambi and Igambang'ombe Sub-counties were created following intense lobbying by myself and other like minded leaders. I urge our people to join hands as we seek to transform Tharaka Nithi into a model county" - Prof. Erastus Njoka

Other leaders who hailed the creation of the new administrative units include Tharaka Nithi Jubilee Campaign Coordinator Petkay Miriti, Woman Representative hopeful Peninah Kambanja and Mariani MCA aspirant Timothy Gitonga Micheni .
