JUMWA AND KANG’ATA ENDORSE KINDIKI, SLAM GOVERNOR NJUKI.

While accompanying Deputy President William Ruto on his visit to Tharaka Nithi County, Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa took to the podium to attack Governor Muthomi Njuki where they criticized him for siding with Raila Odinga.

Kang’ata went on to ask Tharaka Nithi residents who their preferred candidate for the gubernatorial position was and ended up endorsing Kindiki as the right guy to replace Njuki.

Aisha Jumwa denounced Njuki’s welcoming of Raila in the county, saying selling Raila to Tharaka Nithi was an uphill task.

“We want Muthomi Njuki to know we have changed camp to UDA and that we have Professor Kithure Kindiki”, she said.

While Senator Kithure Kindiki hasn’t publicly yet declared his candidature, the overwhelming support and response from the crowds during the tour clearly defined that he had the numbers and that they wanted him to contest the gubernatorial position.

Jumwa went on to affirm that the coast had decided on Ruto as the 5th president and that the President was carrying a heavy burden trusting the opposition after he chased those who made him what he is today and helped him clinch power.

She also hit on security officials, to stop intimidation, telling them they can't force Raila Odinga on people.

Senator Kang'ata hit out at Odinga, saying he doesn't have the agenda of the Mt Kenya people and that they wouldn't follow and support him.

"I want to remind the President, I wrote a letter saying BBI would fall. Next year I will write another saying Raila won't be president", he said.

Kindiki on his part accused President Kenyatta of betrayal after legislators affiliated to DP Ruto were stripped off their positions in parliament leadership but insisted they had much respect for the president.

" Now you are surrounded by people who are lying to you and those who haven't ever voted you in. We are bitter because our President, who we represented lied to us that he would finish stalled projects but instead joined our political enemies", he said.
