RUTO ENDORSES GOVERNOR MUTHOMI NJUKI TO DEFEND HIS SEAT ON A UDA TICKET.

Deputy President and UDA Party leader William Ruto on Saturday officially unveiled Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki as a UDA gubernatorial candidate and publicly endorsed him to defend his seat in the coming general elections.

Speaking at a rally in Kibugua in Tharaka Nithi County, Ruto praised Njuki for his confidence and fearlessness in joining UDA despite facing threats and intimidation.

“I would like to thank Governor Muthomi Njuki, for his confidence and courage even after being threatened and intimidated against joining UDA like many of the governors have. I would like to caution the intimidators against using DCI, EACC and KRA to oppress and intimidate Kenyans through threats and blackmail” – Governor Muthomi Njuki

On his part, Governor Muthomi Njuki said he was ready to face intimidation and threats from people against his move to UDA and that it was the people’s decision that he joined Ruto’s camp.

Njuki asked Ruto to ensure the completion of stalled projects in the county, especially the construction of roads and requested the construction of milk processing plants across the county to benefit dairy farmers.

He further requested DP Ruto, once elected to support SME’S with funds under his bottom-up economic approach.

The Tharaka Nithi gubernatorial race is a tight race between Governor Njuki and former Chuka University VC Prof. Erastus Njoka who recently joined Jubilee under the Azimio la Umoja movement.
